Why do I need an asbestos demolition survey?

To ensure your contractors do the work properly

Asbestos demolition surveys also ensure that your contractor does the refurbishment or demolition work properly and that they are suitably qualified.

How should I prepare for an asbestos demolition survey?

Give the surveyor the site layout, building plans or architect’s drawings before they start. You should also provide them with any history of asbestos work that you have. This will ensure that the contractor conducts a thorough survey.

It’s only a requirement to have an asbestos demolition survey if you own a non-domestic property, but you may want to consider having one at your home if you’re planning on having major building work done.
