Not only will you save a small fortune on installation, but you\u2019ll then be reducing those ever-expensive gas and electricity bills by generating your own heat.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nOn top of this, there\u2019s the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme to consider too. From spring, any homeowner with renewable heat products will be paid for the energy they produce. This is equivalent to hundreds of pounds worth of earnings annually and is guaranteed for seven years. <\/p>\n<h2>How much is the grant worth?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A ground source heat pump: <strong>\u00a32,300 grant<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A biomass boiler: <strong>\u00a32,000 grant<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>An air source heat pump: <strong>\u00a31,300 grant<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A Solar thermal panel system: <strong>\u00a3600 grant<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Am I eligible for a grant?<\/h2>\n<p>If you live in England, Scotland or Wales you\u2019ll be eligible for a grant under the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme, as long as you haven\u2019t received funding previously. <\/p>\n<p>There are some other criteria to meet too, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your home must be sufficiently insulated.
