{"id":363,"date":"2011-05-24T10:00:10","date_gmt":"2011-05-24T09:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.anytrades.co.uk\/?p=363"},"modified":"2011-05-24T10:00:10","modified_gmt":"2011-05-24T09:00:10","slug":"uk-banks-to-boost-funding-for-green-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.local-quotes.co.uk\/guides\/seasonal\/uk-banks-to-boost-funding-for-green-energy\/","title":{"rendered":"UK banks to boost funding for green energy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renewable energy is to receive a boost from two major UK banks after businesses hinted at the need for extra funding.<\/p>\n<p>NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland have set aside \u00a350 million for renewable sources as the demand for green energy grows across the country. <\/p>\n<p>On the back of a recent survey which suggested 33% of agricultural companies wished to introduce <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isearchsolarpanels.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">solar panels<\/a> and wind turbines, the banking giants have set up a 200 strong team to meet the demand. <\/p>\n<p>The research discovered that businesses were keen to use green energy, as after the initial installation fee, it will dramatically reduce their yearly running costs.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nWith 40% of Europe\u2019s wind blowing over the UK, it is hoped that this project can aid the government\u2019s target of generating 15% of the country\u2019s energy from renewable sources by 2020. <\/p>\n<p>Ian Burrow, head of Agriculture and Renewable energy at RBS said: \u201cWe&#8217;re serious about being at the forefront of helping UK businesses switch to a more sustainable way of meeting their energy needs. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have nearly 200 relationship managers trained in covering the technical, legal and financial considerations specific to renewable energy.
