And now, due to the popularity of the Green Deal, the Government has made an extra \u00a3100 million available to the scheme. In the wake of this news, more homeowners will be able to enjoy warmer homes and have a better control on their expensive bills.<\/p>\n
This increased funding will be available to the British public towards the end of November and it\u2019s expected that more details will be released nearer the time. However, it\u2019s evident that leading energy ministers have heavily supported this added finance.<\/p>\n
Ed Davey, the Energy and Climate Change Secretary, said: \u201cMore money means more people can live in warmer, greener homes sooner. Green Deal Home Improvement Fund vouchers went like hot cakes earlier in the year and now even more people can cut their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Green Deal cash has also been backed by Minister Amber Rudd, who said: \u201cWe\u2019ve already taken \u00a350 off energy bills but we know that the best way for households to cut their bills is to use less energy.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver three quarters of a million homes have already had energy saving improvements installed as a result of the Energy Company Obligation and Green Deal schemes and it makes sense to help even more families install measures so that they see the benefits of lower bills and a warmer home for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u00a3100 million input is an extension of what\u2019s already in the kitty and shows the Government\u2019s commitments to helping homes become more energy efficient. \u00a3450m has already been put into the scheme, which will be distributed over a three-year period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
