Your roofing cost guide

Roofing is one of the most important aspects of every property, but for most of the time it’s something we completely take for granted. Whilst it’s protecting you and your home you won’t give the roof much thought, and it’s only when a problem strikes that you’ll sit up and take notice.

The question is, how expensive can roofing costs be? There are a range of jobs that professional roofers will carry out and each warrants its own price tag dependent on the length of work and skills required.

Below you can see the results of a recent survey where recommended roofers were asked how much common jobs would cost. Each professional provided a rough price and completion time, giving you a better idea of what to expect.
All prices include labour and materials but exclude VAT.

Scaffolding tips

As a general rule of thumb, if your property is more than one storey high then it’s likely scaffolding will be required. Scaffolding does have a big effect on the final price as it’s expensive and takes quite some time to firstly erect and then take down.

If scaffolding is required for any of your jobs then this is likely to inflate the quoted price.
