When the extreme temperatures of hot and cold set in, it’s easy enough to turn up the thermostat or pump out the air con. Rather than this, turn your thermostat down a notch and instead get on a nice, thick jumper to keep you warm. By altering your heating by just a degree, you can save up to £65 annually.

Energy efficient appliances

Our homes are full of the latest gadgets and gizmos which is why the electricity bill has soared over the last few decades. This isn’t a problem though as long as your appliances are nice and energy efficient. In the kitchen you have the cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and even tumble dryer to consider.
