About Fire Door Alliance
The BWF Fire Door Alliance is a leading authority on fire door safety.The BWF Fire Door Alliance scheme is operated and managed by the British Woodworking Federation (BWF). It is an evolution of the BWF CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset scheme which was established in 1997 by the BWF with the support of a group of Fire Door Manufacturers, with an aim to improve both the standard of and knowledge on fire doors. The scheme brings the membership management, lobbying and promotion of the technical skills of the BWF to support the promotion of third-party certification.
Membership of the BWF Fire Door Alliance is open only to companies, who hold third party certificated by a UKAS approved certifying bodies such as Warrington Fire (WF) Certifire or BM TRADA Q-Mark schemes. The schemes vision is that every fire door or fire doorset sold in the UK meets required standards throughout its service life
