Penmaenmawr
Penmaenmawr is a town and community in Conwy Region Borough, Wales, which was previously in the parish of Dwygyfylchi. It is on the North Wales coastline in between Conwy as well as Llanfairfechan and was an essential quarrying community, though quarrying is no longer a significant company. The population of the neighborhood was 4,353 in 2011, consisting of Dwygyfylchi as well as Capelulo. The community itself having a population of 2,868 (2011 ). It was named after Penmaenmawr hill, which stands above the sea immediately west of the town. Much of its previously rounded top (with an old hill-fort) has actually been quarried away, leaving the contemporary reduced level top. The town was bypassed by the A55 Expressway in the 1980s, losing its old Edwardian period promenade in the process, which was mostly changed by a contemporary one. Penmaenmawr is kept in mind for its amazing mountain and also seaside walks. Close-by are the prominent tourist attractions of Bwlch Sychnant (Sychnant Pass) and Mynydd y Dref, and the town also lies partly within Eryri, the Snowdonia National Park.
