Llandrindod Wells is a town as well as neighborhood in Powys, within the historical boundaries of Radnorshire, Wales. It functions as the seat of Powys County Council and therefore the administrative centre of Powys. It was developed as a medical spa town in the 19th century, with a boom in the late 20th century as a centre of local government. Before the 1860s the site of the town prevailed land in Llanfihangel Cefn-llys parish. Llandrindod Wells is the 5th biggest community in Powys, as well as the largest in Radnorshire. In a 2018 study undertaken by Rightmove, Llandrindod was elected the Happiest Place in Wales. A study by the Royal Mail over the Easter 2018 period showed that Llandrindod had the highest possible on the internet buying prices for that period in the whole of the nation.
