Are you considering a loft space conversion in order to open space in your home and steer clear of the need to relocate? Then make use of our no cost and simple service to compare quotes and find the top cost for the work you want carried out.
Loft conversions are proving to become more and more popular in the UK. In most properties the loft space accounts for unused space which could go to better use. Converting can turn the area into a bedroom, bathroom, playroom or even ensuite bedroom.
The fact is there's plenty of potential to converting your loft, including the extra value for your home which may be up to 20%. Loft conversions are also suggested over a house extension because the infrastructure has already been in place. Plus, you won't be taking away any garden space.
If the loft space conversion would benefit the home and you're interested in more room, compare and contrast quotes from reliable companies in Torpoint and get the best deal for the work you need completed.

Torpoint is a civil parish as well as community on the Rame Peninsula in southeast Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is positioned opposite the city of Plymouth throughout the Hamoaze which is the tidal estuary of the River Tamar. Torpoint had a population of 8,457 at the 2001 census, lowering to 8,364 at the 2011 census. 2 electoral wards also exist (Torpoint East and also West). Their mixed populations at the exact same census were 7,717. In the Cornish language Torpoint is called Penntorr (neighborhood people band Pentorr have actually taken their name from this). Torpoint is connected to Plymouth (as well as Devonport) by the Torpoint Ferry. The three vessels that operate the service are chain ferries-- that is, they are thrust across the river by drawing themselves on fixed chains which exist across the bed of the river. The trip takes around 7 mins.

When its impossible to build out and create more space sideways, why can’t you look upwards? As more and more homeowners in the UK are carrying out their loft conversion project, one question that keeps popping up is the amount of value the loft conversion can add to their homes. However, this is a question that is impossible to provide a single and precise answer to. This is because the value that’ll be generated by a loft conversion is largely dependent on a wide range of influencing factors. To give you a vague idea of the loft conversion value to a property, we’ve put forward a research carried out by industry experts so you can know what you’re in for.
Nationwide carried out a research which shows clearly that a loft conversion including an additional bedroom as part of the building plan will increase a house’s value by up to 21 percent. Since the number of rooms a house has is one of the main metrics for house valuations, loft conversion comes in pretty handy as it’s a great and easy way to convert your house from a 4 bedroom house to a 5 bedroom house prior to sale.
Apart from the financial value aspect, loft conversion also adds more value to your lifestyle which is very unlike nearly other financial investments you can make. More space in your house automatically means more storage or a new room as you wish. A new room can be for a growing family or probably to serve as a guest room. It can also be used as a study space or even an office especially with the rapidly growing rate of people working from home. With loft conversion, the possibilities in terms of value are simply endless!
Many types of loft are suitable for a loft conversion. In general, you will need at least 2.3 metres of headroom in your existing loft. This is to make sure there is enough headroom after the conversion. Speak to a conversion specialist about the probability and possibility of doing this in your house.
Planning permission is not normally needed for a loft conversion as they are covered by permitted development rights. A conversion company will tell you if you do and help you with this. For more information, see our article about planning permission.
It depends on the style and size of the conversion, but in general, a loft conversion will take between 1-2 months. A loft conversion is a substantial building project, and plans will need to be drawn up. This may add to the time it takes to complete your loft conversion.
We can help you get more loft conversion work with our qualified job leads and boost your business.
