Office Air Conditioning in Shefford

As a business owner, you’d be aware before now that there’s usually a need to make financial commitment on some things that do not directly generate revenue or profit for the business. One of these expenses is an air conditioning which may not directly make you more money, but is known to provide a wide array of benefits in a work environment. If you’re still yet to be convinced about the need for an air conditioning system in your workplace, here are some reasons that explains to you why installing a heating and cooling system at your workplace can be a huge step forward for your business.

• No waste of working hours. According to several studies, when a work environment is overheated or not comfortable, workers’ productivity is always at the receiving end. In several cases, the employees tend to waste at least an hour of their working time as a result of the heat ( this number can even be higher in some cases). Also, they tend to avoid work when on their seat which is a big reason why installing an AC system at your workplace should never be overlooked.
• Improved employees’ health. For every business owner, the well being of your employees should be a top priority as this would imply a lower medical expenses and sick or redundant days. A relaxing and comfortable working environment will make the employees feel good and help them stay healthy which is crucial for improved productivity.
• It saves you money. Due to higher electricity consumption, several business owners tend to shy away from installing air conditioning systems. Compared to a normal fan, it does consume more power, however an AC system provides the better overall savings in the long run.

There are a range of office air conditioning units on the market. You should be sure to choose one with the appropriate cooling output for the office space where it will be placed. Professional air conditioning companies will be able to advise you of the most suitable units for your business.

When it comes to getting an air conditioning unit for your property, one of the greatest mistakes you can possibly make is purchasing and installing the wrong type as well as size in your personal space. In the event whereby you happen to go for an AC unit that’s too small, it won’t be powerful enough to cool your room as you would like. However, when you go ahead to select an oversized AC unit, your room would be cooled relatively quick but will leave the air in your room with excess humidity and consume more electricity as it’s going to cycle on and off which will ultimately cost you more money. As a result, it’s always a smart move to put some things into consideration before making any financial commitment. In this post, we’re going to consider how you can determine the perfect air conditioner for your building. Let’s take a look!

• Determine the appropriate size for your space. When buying a new air conditioner, one mistake you should never make is getting the wrong size. A unit that’s too small will have to work overtime to achieve the set temperature for the room and driving up your energy bills, while a unit that’s too large will cool the air pretty easily and quickly but leave it damp and clammy. To get the appropriate size, you’ll have to take the measurement of the room’s square footage using a tape measure, calculate the room’s square footage and determine the cooling capacity required for the room in question which is measured in British Terminal Units (BTUs)/hour.
• Look out for the ENERGY STAR® certification. It’s crucial to buy and install an air conditioning system with the blue ENERGY STAR® certification. This means that the unit has met or exceeded certain higher efficiency standards than other similar models.

If you’ve made the decision to purchase an air conditioning system for your office, the next step is deciding whether to install the unit yourself or get in touch with a professional for help. To several business owners, this is a very simply decision to make, - a lot of money can be saved by making the task a DIY project. However, the installation of a heating and cooling system requires some specific skills and knowledge that, when not properly mastered, can lead to some installation faults which will ultimately make the system consume more energy than necessary while also affecting its durability. On the other hand, installation done by a well trained professional will not only save you a lot of money, but will also ensure you get to enjoy your system for a long period of time.

If you’re yet to be convinced about the importance of a professionally installed office air conditioning system, here are some point that just might make you have a rethink.
