Obviously the performance of a solar thermal system will vary depending on the location of the home, the insulation of the property, and your own hot water requirements. Solar thermal panels are capable of providing all of your hot water requirements from April to September. They will still make a contribution to your hot water needs for the rest of the year, but in general you will need a backup system to further heat the water in the colder months.
Killin
Killin is a town positioned at the western head of Loch Tay in Stirling (previously Perthshire), Scotland. The west end of the town is wonderfully sited around the scenic Falls of Dochart, the major road leading down in the direction of the Loch at the assemblage of the rivers Dochart as well as Lochay. The falls are crossed by a slim, multi-arched rock bridge lugging the major A827 road right into Killin. Killin railway terminal was on the Killin Railway. The railway station was officially closed on 1 November 1965. Killin has a tiny primary school with 56 pupils. For additional education students travel to Callander 21 miles (34 kilometres) to the south. The nearby Gaelic tool primary is in Stirling, 37 miles (60 km) to the south.
