Most domestic solar thermal panels do not need planning permission and are covered by permitted development rights. There are restrictions on the size and location of these systems. If you live in a conservation area or listed building, or want to install a very large solar thermal system, check with your local authority to see if you will need planning permission.
Llanarth
Llanarth (population 1,616) is a tiny village and neighborhood in Ceredigion, Wales, situated on the A487 in between Aberystwyth and Cardigan within three miles of both Aberaeron and also New Quay. Llanarth has a petrol station, post office, a primary school, a pub, a butcher, a Spar convenience store and a garden centre. The parish church of St David's, once devoted to St Fylltyg, is a Grade II listed building. It was refurbished in 1872. A rock in the churchyard is occasionally pointed out as bearing the Devil's impact. According to legend, he was trying to steal among the church's bells one evening, but woke the vicar, that drove him off. He left the impact as he fled.
