Start your projectStrathdon is an area in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is positioned in the strath of the River Don, 45 miles west of Aberdeen in the Highlands. The primary town in the strath is likewise called Strathdon, although it was initially called Invernochty due to its place at the convergence of the River Don and the Water of Nochty. Strathdon is a casual geographical area. This means that there are no accurate limits in terms of where it begins or ends. It is the founding area of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, and also the Lonach Highland Event. This is a conventional Highland Gathering with the hefty sport events such as tossing the caber, hammer etc., and also it additionally holds a competition of Highland dancing. Dances include the kept in mind 'Highland Fling', 'Sword Dance', 'Seann Triubhas' and 'Reel of Tulloch'.
