Shocking. Never returned to finish job despite repeated promises over 3 wks and 6 phone calls, £60 down the drain for me.

Work turned out poor as roof edges fell off. They’ve promised to come out at least 4 times and not appeared and now ignoring calls. Dreadful service so recommend strongly you avoid.

Given an initial agreed price then firm said everything needed doing at an extortionate price so stopped all work and cancelled agreement. Given verbal abuse because of it

I found them very prompt and did the job only query is have not yet received the invoice promised. Otherwise they very very good and would use them again

Company failed to attend the appointment twice and then did not get in touch to reschedule. Based on this I would not use Quotatis again.

They contacted me within hours of asking for a quote, Came out two days later and completed the job the following day. The guys were tidy, quick and polite ant every point and the work is excellent. We are very very happy with the job and would highly recommend.

JR Johnstone Roofing & Building did a great job adding pvc fascia boards all round our house, replacing the gutters, and fitting eaves protectors around the roof. They were very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently, and the work has a 20 year guarantee. Their quote was competitive, and we were kept up to date with the progress each day. They left everything tidy when they finished. I would highly recommend them.

Job was well done, though one thing did lead to another. Sofitt installation led to extension roof needing to be replaced (justifiably) and then main roof. Pricing was a bit high and we should have queried it more, but if you are minus your extension roof and the weather is poor, that is not the time to haggle.....

Friendly, helpful, informative, punctual

Really angry with James. he turned up and carried out most of the work quoted and asked for payment with some work to complete, he was waiting on me to complete some cladding, i paid him most of the money and i have been trying to contact him for 3 weeks to come back and finish off. his phone is disconnected and no answer via email. guy seems like a crook to me. so anyone else should avoid giving him any business or you could be left out of pocket and getting someone else to finish off.

This company said they would do it £100 cheaper on his first quote.

Work completed was fine. Quoted for more work then did not appear again. I had to get someone else.

This company gave me information about my roof which really did not need done and also did not put tile back down right had to get them back to sort it out I feel he was just looking for work that did not need done had another company out and they said my roof did not have these problems that he had said

I only got one person contact me which was disappointing, this is no slant on the company that turned up but However, the company that did turn up gave me a quote so good, and considering it was the only one at that time, I asked him to start straight away which he did. He was very quick in clearing and repairing the hole in the guttering, I left it for some time for it to rain before commenting and There are no leaks or drips so I am very happy with the work.

Mr Johnstone's contacted me on the same day as the other recommended companies.. We spoke at length about my requirements but no definite appointment to visit me was made.

These two companies are the same. The response was quick but they were nowhere near our area and it was a simple job. We asked for an estimate on the phone to save a long drive if we did not like the price. We didn't. So we cancelled them coming out.

No show for pre-arranged quote, when we called to check if he was still coming he asked for address. Half an hour after he was due, obviously had no intention of coming or cancelling the appointment. Time wasters.

James arrived as scheduled, reliable and professional, talked me through the work he would carry out, and gave me a quote to do the job, during the work James identified some maintenance work he would advise would need done, he gave his honest opinion that it was not imminent to be rectified but would need attention at some point, I will definitely have James back next month to do the repair, further to that James has carried out such a good job that he gained a further two jobs for the same from neighbouring properties, a treat to work with an honest professional, I would highly recommend JR johnstone roofing to anyone , well done James and thankyou, I will be in touch as promised
