Educated at the Universities of Sheffield and Edinburgh, Bob returned to his native Cumbria after spells in architectural practice in Cheshire, Fife and New York City. A 'hands-on' Architect, he enjoys the craft of construction and has attended lime workshops, joinery classes and the 'Repair of Old Buildings' course at the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. Bob is a PlacEd Ambassador, Trustee of the Joanna Scott Foundation, has tutored on the Architecture degree programme at the University of Central Lancashire, guest tutored at the Manchester School of Art and at Kendal College. Outside the studio, Bob is a keen cyclist, runner, gig attendee and long suffering fan of Carlisle United F.C. and the New York Mets baseball club.
