The Town population at the very same census was 865 just. Camelford is in the North Cornwall legislative constituency stood for by Scott Mann MP considering that 2015. Up until 1974, the town was the administrative headquarters of Camelford Rural District. The two primary industrial ventures in the area are the slate quarry at Delabole as well as the cheese factory at Davidstow and there is a small industrial estate at Highfield. The A39 road (referred to as 'Atlantic Freeway') passes through the town centre: a bypass has been gone over for years. Camelford Station, some distance from the town, closed in 1966; the website was consequently utilized as a cycling museum.
