Llandovery
Llandovery is a market town and also area in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It rests on the River Tywi as well as at the junction of the A40 and A483 roads, around 25 miles (40 kilometres) north-east of Carmarthen, 27 miles (43 km) north of Swansea and 21 miles (34 kilometres) west of Brecon. An electoral ward with the same name exists. This ward covers Llandovery yet also stretches to the north. The complete ward population taken at the 2011 Census was 2,689. The community is surrounded by the areas of Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, Myddfai, Llanwrda, as well as Cilycwm, all remaining in Carmarthenshire. Since 2019, the mayor of Llandovery is Annabel Graham Paul. Llandovery is twinned with Pluguffan in Brittany, France.
