On top of that there are stores, garages, small grocery stores, Pharmacy as well as a Vets on the major Cardiff Road as well as a choice of stores on the Murch estate consisting of a post office. According to current selecting rolls the population is in the region of 8,800. This establishes the village as the 5th biggest settlement in the Vale of Glamorgan and larger than numerous legal towns in the UK.
