Bellshill
Bellshill is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is positioned 10 miles to the south east of Glasgow city centre and 37 miles west of Edinburgh, in addition to being close to other towns which include Motherwell, Hamilton and Coatbridge. Since 1996, it's been a part of the Greater Glasgow metropolitan area. With a population of around 20,000, a report by the Halifax Building Society suggested that in the early part of 2005, the town was the UK's homebuying prime location, seeing a rise in house prices by 46 per cent. This led to the standard home price as being £105,698. It's suggested that the town dates back to the seventeenth century, which initially featured a line of quarry workers' homes owned by Mr. Bell, the proprietor of a stone quarry towards the south of the town. The improvement work to Bellshill, nonetheless, mostly occurred after the quarry shutting at the start of the nineteenth century. Improvement work has continued throughout the twentieth century. In recent years, the Streetscape Project, a project which aims to attain the town's regeneration and to modernise the the town centre, occurred between 2007 and 2010, which developed a one way system around the main street and made the area much more friendly for pedestrians. Since the middle of the 1980s, the town has been recognised specifically for producing respected and influential popular music, with bands such as the Soup Dragons, BMX Bandits and Teenage Fanclub hailing from the town. A Channel 4 TV series, 'Sounds of the Suburbs', celebrated the music of the area, commonly referred to as the 'Bellshill Sound' or the 'Bellshill Beat'. For all of your home improvement jobs, ensure that you use trustworthy pros in Bellshill to make sure that you get the top quality service.
