Looking for landscaping specialists in Dronfield? Our landscape design experts in Dronfield will supply you with the very best quotations for having expert landscaping undertaken.

Landscape design is the expression used for when characteristics of land are transformed, normally so that they can make it more desirable or practical. Areas which might be landscaped include gardens, fences, properties and structures.

Examples of the popular factors behind for having an area landscaped include improving the initial impression of your house, improving health benefits and also adding value to your property.

A properly maintained landscape will raise the value of your home, while badly maintained gardens will see a decrease and put off potential customers. Additionally, with a selection of trees, shrubs and plants you'll manage to enhance air quality plus your body's healthiness.

A beautiful garden can help relieve the pressures of the day whenever you come back from work in the evening. A well-kept garden is an excellent place to relax during the summer and may allow you to unwind after having a busy day.

We can supply you with up to 4 landscaping specialists close to you, who'll provide quotations for the work you'd like done. You'll receive a house visit from professionals in Dronfield who'll help you choose the right design for your property ahead of completing the project.

Landscaping may take any period of time, based on the size of your land and what you want undertaken.

Dronfield

Dronfield is a town in North East Derbyshire in the North Midlands area of England. It is comprised of 3 communities, which are Dronfield, Dronfield Woodhouse and Coal Aston. It lies in the valley of the River Drone, and sits in between the town of Chesterfield and the city of Sheffield. Dronfield encompasses an area of 3457 acres, and the A61 trunk road, Dronfield-Unstone Bypass, cuts through the town. Being in close proximity to the Pennines, Dronfield also has convenient access to the Peak District National Park, which is 3 miles away. It is supposed that the town was in existence previous to the 1086 Domesday Book, and it has a 12th-century parish church. Dronfield has a background of engineering, with coal mining, the wool trade, the production of soap and steel, and engineering being the most popular markets. Multiple production companies continue to work within the town. The population of Dronfield has gone through considerable development ever since the post-war years, going from 6500 in 1945 to 21000 in 2011. This is partially the effect of the town's position as a dormitory community for workers from nearby Chesterfield and Sheffield. The town is said to be home to the largest independently owned housing estate in Europe, called Gosforth Valley, when it was developed in the 1970s. Regardless of growth and modernisation, the town has actually maintained its ancient character, with several historical buildings remaining intact. Inhabitants have plenty of opportunities for shopping at independent and commercial chain shops, visiting libraries and going to leisure centres. The world's oldest football team, Sheffield F. C., is based in the football ground to the north of the town. For all of your home upgrades, make certain to make use of reputable specialists in Dronfield to make certain of quality.

FAQs

Does landscaping a garden add value?

Does Landscaping A Garden Add Value?

When taking a good look at the image of new homes or perhaps you’re just thinking about getting one, one thing that several people will look out for is the garden. The thought of owning a perfect little oasis is all homeowners’ dream.

In a recent study conducted by Rightmove, it was discovered that to more than 60% of home buyers, an access to a garden was a priority. And according to the Royal Chartered Institute of Surveyors, this demand for garden is set to grow by 20% over the next 2 years.

Therefore, it’s obvious that having a beautiful landscaped garden is always a great asset to possess. But exactly how much value does a garden add to a property?

According to the studies carried out by Foxtons, it’s suggested that a garden can add as much as 20% to any property’s value, however, it should be expected that this value can vary based on a number of factors. In urban locations such as London, where there’s really not much outdoor space, possessing a garden can add an enormous amount to your property’s value.

However, if you happen to live in sub urban areas such as Wilmslow, where almost every home possesses a garden, what will influence the amount of value a garden will add to your property depends on it’s size as well as it’s unique features.

What’s more? Another important influence of a garden’s added value is the time of the season in which you’re selling your property. For more value, the best time to sell is always in the spring or summer when there are several gardens in bloom and multiple colours to please the eye. However, when it’s autumn and winter, the idea of staying outdoors for a quick get together or gardening is always very far, hence the value that’ll be added at this point may be low.

How to plan a landscape garden?

How To Plan A Landscape Garden

If you’ve decided to go for a landscape garden, this might imply putting in new gardens entirely or probably just coming up with a planting plan for the current year. However, because you want a beautiful landscape garden doesn’t mean you can just go out, get a couple of plants and decide to plant them anywhere that looks good to you once you get home.

For a much better landscape garden, doing some proper landscape garden planning can go a long way to help you get the results you desire. So how do you plan a landscape garden?

• Set Goals

The first step is to determine how you want the garden to feel and look, how it’s going to be used or what’s going to be used for as well as how you’ll work to boost the small ecosystem.

• Site Plan

Identify what you already have on the site like the plants, paths, gardens etc, and draw them out perhaps on a graph paper. Once done, you can make some photocopies and start playing with different ideas.

• Site Analysis

Carry out an in depth site analysis to identify the areas that’s sunny and shady areas as well as the ones in between. This way, you can figure out the best place to put the plants and other items.

• Functional Diagrams

This is stage at which you go through both the site plan as well as site analysis and start to identify the right spots to position the landscape garden’s items.

• Planting Plan

Here, you’ll decide which plants you’ll like to use on your landscape garden while also identifying what plant goes where. You’ll have to draw them at size close to what they’ll grow to become, so as to ensure there’s sufficient space for them once they grow big and tall.

How to landscape a garden?

How To Landscape A Garden

Are you thinking about landscaping your garden? Well, not only will this make your property more visually appealing, but can also go a long way to add value to it. Landscaping a garden can be a very difficult project which should be left to a reliable professional who can guarantee the best results the first time, especially if you lack proper training or experience in the field. This way, you get to save time and extra money that can result due to possible costly mistakes. However, if you’re confident enough about your skills, here’s a step by step guide to help you through the garden landscaping process.

• Start from the front yard. This is the first place you’ll see when you get home and visitors will admire when they stop by.

• Hardscape first. Tackle all the handscaping projects before setting out the plants. The hardscapes include the sidewalk, drive way, porch, decks, fencing and the likes.

• Toil in the soil. When it’s time for the garden, you can start by amending your soil with organic matter before you set out the plants.

• Plan next to your house. When it comes to landscaping a garden, functionality is just as important as the beauty. With that in mind, never allow your foundation planting to cover your house, but to embrace it.

• Selecting the right plants. Study the landscape, observe when the sun rises and sets and determine the best plants for those conditions, you can consult with a local garden centre for more information.

• Plant shapes and textures. You can include some design elements to your landscape simply by taking advantage of the plants’ shape and texture.

• Finishing touches. These includes adding stuffs like containers, window boxes, hanging baskets both to add a little more functionality and a bit more colour to your landscape.

• Maintenance. To enjoy your beautiful landscape for a longer period, it has to be maintained.

What do landscape gardeners charge?

What Do Landscape Gardeners Charge?

If you’ve decided to hire a landscaping professional for your gardening, you’ll probably be wondering how much it’s going to cost so you can start planning. A landscape garden serves a wide range of purposes from beautification of your surrounding and building to serving as a perfect spot for family and friends’ get-togethers and to brighten up one’s life. However, we must also note that the garden landscaping does not come cheap. In order to make it look great and send a clear message, there’s need for a effective and careful planning as well as consideration which perfectly combines both beauty and utility ( as not every landscaping idea works perfectly for every house). So just how much will landscape gardeners charge?

Just like most home improvement efforts, the cost of landscape gardening is influenced by a wide array of factors. These factors include the scope of the project, the size of the garden, the type of material and size of your patio, the cost of the plants and mulches, the professional daily or hourly rate as well as the unique treatment of the aesthetics of planting.

In general, landscape gardeners can charge as little as a price ranging from £15 to £20 and £45 per hour greatly influenced by the location as well as the gardening services required. As a daily rate, professional gardeners tend to charge about £140 to £200 per day. However, it should be noted that the major factors influencing the price that a gardener will charge is based on the area you live in as well as the size of your garden. For instance, if you live in an area with higher demands like London, you can expect to be charged a lot more than anywhere else.
