Having ventilation in the roof void is a requirement for building regulations approval. Fitting ventilated soffits is the typical way that this roof ventilation is achieved. If you do not have roof ventilation, you may find that your roof void has problems with condensation or overheating.
Garve
Garve is a village on the Black Water river, in Ross-shire, as well as is in the Highland Council area of Scotland. It is located 5 miles (8 kilometres) northwest of Contin, on the A835, the highway to Ullapool on the west coast, close to where the A832 branches off in the direction of Achnasheen. In 1890 Garve was proposed as the starting-point of a train to Ullapool. The village has a primary school as well as hotel but no shop. The town is within the Garve and also District Neighborhood Council area. Garve and Area are served by the Garve and District Development Company, a firm created by the area during 2017.
