Arundel
Arundel is a market town as well as civil parish in a steep vale of the South Downs, West Sussex, England. The much-conserved town has a middle ages castle and Roman Catholic sanctuary. Although smaller sized in population than the majority of other churches, Arundel has a gallery and comes 2nd behind much bigger Chichester in its variety of detailed buildings in West Sussex. The River Arun goes through the eastern side of the town. Arundel was one of the districts reformed by the Municipal Reform Act 1835. From 1836 to 1889 the community had its very own Borough police with a toughness of three. In 1974 it entered into the Arun area, and is now a civil church with a town council. An electoral ward of the exact same name exists. This ward extends north to Houghton with an overall population at the 2011 census of 4,298.
