Leyburn
Leyburn is a market community and civil church in the area of Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, England, resting above the north bank of the River Ure in Wensleydale. Historically in the North Riding of Yorkshire, the name was derived from 'Ley' or 'Le' (cleaning), and also 'burn' (stream), meaning clearing up by the stream. The town flaunts two markets, several clubs, one bank with atm and also the Co-op grocery store with a cash machine within, and many little speciality stores. Market day is Friday. It is served by neighborhood buses that link to Richmond, Hawes, Bedale as well as Northallerton. Leyburn has been featured in the Tour de France and the 2012 Olympics torch relay. The bikers in Phase 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire in May 2018 travelled with Leyburn. An electoral ward in the very same name exists. This ward includes Harmby with an overall population of 2,554.
