Marlborough
Marlborough is a market community as well as civil church in the English area of Wiltshire on the Old Bath Road, the old main road from London to Bath. It flaunts the 2nd best high road in Britain, after Stockton-on-Tees. The community is on the River Kennet, 24 miles (39 km) north of Salisbury as well as 10 miles (16 kilometres) south-southeast of Swindon. Marlborough has an oceanic climate rather influenced by its inland setting as well as at 124 metres' elevation is more vulnerable to frost than southerly coastal areas. In 2004 Marlborough commemorated 800 years of its Town Charter. Amongst the events were a road play by the Marlborough Players titled Wheels of Time, as well as a visit from HRH Prince Charles.
