Portree
Portree is the biggest community on, as well as funding of, the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It is the location for the only high school on the island, Portree Secondary school. Public transportation solutions are limited to buses. Portree has a harbour, fringed by high cliffs, with a pier made by Thomas Telford. Attractions in the community include the Aros centre which commemorates the island's Gaelic heritage. More arts arrangement is made through arts organisation ATLAS Arts, a Creative Scotland regularly-funded organisation. The town also works as a centre for visitors discovering the island. The Royal Hotel is the website of MacNab's Inn, the last meeting point of Flora MacDonald as well as Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746. The town plays host to the Isle of Skye's shinty club, Skye Camanachd. They play at Pairc nan Laoch over the community when driving to Struan. Around 939 people (37.72% of the population) can speak Scottish Gaelic.
