Forming part of the adjoining growth centred on London and also its 'stockbroker belt' just outside the M25 motorway, it is 8 miles from London Heathrow and also equidistant in between the business parks of Woking as well as Brooklands. In local government it creates a ward on the same basis as its church in the Borough of Woking.
