Llangollen
Llangollen is a small town and community in Denbighshire, north-east Wales, on the River Dee beside the Berwyn hills and the Clwydian Range as well as Dee Valley AONB. It had a population of 3,658 at the 2011 census. Llangollen takes its name from the Welsh llan significance "a spiritual negotiation" and Saint Collen, a 6th-century monk that established a church close to the river. St Collen is claimed to have actually arrived in Llangollen by coracle. There are nothing else churches in Wales devoted to St Collen, as well as he might have had connections with Colan in Cornwall and also with Langolen in Brittany. Today Llangollen relies greatly on the tourist sector, but still acquires considerable earnings from farming. Most of the ranches in capitals around the community were lamb ranches, and the residential woollen industry, both rotating and weaving, was important in the location for centuries. Numerous factories were later on built along the financial institutions of the River Dee, where both woollen as well as cotton were processed. The water mill contrary Llangollen Railway station is over 600 years old, as well as was originally made use of to grind flour for regional farmers.
