Dursley is a market town and civil parish in southern Gloucestershire, England, situated virtually equidistantly in between the cities of Bristol and Gloucester. It is under the northeast flank of Stinchcombe Hill, and concerning 3 3/4 miles (6.0 km) southeast of the River Severn. The community adjoins Cam which, though a town, is a slightly larger community in its own right. The town sits on the side of the Cotswolds escarpment where it drops off in the direction of the Severn Vale and the River Severn. It is adjacent with Cam which, though a village, is a neighborhood of double the size. The two communities (incorporated population regarding 12,000) share lots of centers.
