Every home needs a bathroom which looks great while also having a calming feel to it. However, many properties are lumbered with a little room, or even have worn units and aged appliances.

Renovating a bathroom is a good strategy to clear up these problems and taking the suggestions and experience of a professional is often the best way to go about things.

With a lot of plumbing needed for accessories like toilets, showers and sinks, you'll need to call on an expert plumber to complete the installation. You'll also require a specialist if you are considering rewiring the electrics too.

Oldbury

Oldbury is a town in Sandwell, West Midlands in England. It is a section of the Black Country, and the administrative centre of the borough of Sandwell. The town's name stems from the Old English 'Ealdenbyrig', which conveys that Oldbury was old even in early English times over 1000 years ago. Eald is Old English for 'old', and Byrig is the plural of 'burh' in Old English, with a burh being a fortification or fortified town. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 13606 people. Oldbury belonged to the ancient parish of Halesowen, a separated part of Shropshire surrounded by Worcestershire and Staffordshire, until the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844, when it was incorporated back into Worcestershire after an absence of nine-hundred years. It ended up being an Urban District in 1894, receiving Municipal Borough status in 1935. In this time, Oldbury council created several thousand houses, flats and cottages for some 40 years before its dissolution, the 1000th of which was completed in 1933 at Wallace Road near the border with Rowley Regis. Since the 1980s, the town has actually seen continued expansion, primarily the development of more retail options. This includes Oldbury Green Retail Park, located on the town's ring road, which was built in the middle of the 1990s. This, as well as the development of the Merry Hill Shopping Centre discovered approximately 6 miles away during the second half of the 1980s, has contributed to a decline in the functioning of nearby West Bromwich town centre as a retail centre for locals. For all your home remodelings, make sure to identify credible contractors in Oldbury to make certain of quality.

How much is it to fit a bathroom?

Home renovations are an incredible way not only to beautify and add value to your home, but also to breathe fresh life as well as energy into your living space. If you’re currently wondering what room to renovate within your home, you may want to consider the bathroom. Not only is this a room that’s subjected to everyday use, but also has to deal with water attacks on a regular basis.

It’s a place where you groom, relax, cleanse and shower, meaning a lot of time is usually spent in this relatively small room. So if you’re planning to renovate your bathroom, one of the most frequently asked questions is, “how much it’ll cost to fit a new bathroom?. Of course like many other home improvement efforts, the cost of fitting a bathroom is largely dependent on the materials to be used as well as the size of the bathroom, whereas the cost of installation may be a lot less than you would’ve guessed. In this simple guide, you’ll get all what you need to understand the average cost of fitting a bathroom and to develop a good estimate for your project as well.

Generally, professional bathroom fitter will charge varying amounts based on the material that’s to be fitted. For instance, small projects that only involves installing a new basin can cost within a range of £70 to £120, whereas larger projects which involves tiling a big bathroom cam cost within the range of £800 to £1,200. Overall, the average cost of fitting a new bathroom will range between £4,200 to £4,800. you can, however, save some money by shopping smart as well as comparing the prices.

How much is it to tile a bathroom?

How Much To Tile A Bathroom?

Are you thinking about doing a full renovation or just a facelift of one of the most used rooms in your home - the bathroom? Thanks to its little maintenance requirements, tiling is the most obvious choice for wet areas as well as the popular decoration option for bathrooms. So if you’re planning to tile your bathroom how much is it going to cost?

Just like several other home improvement options, the cost of tiling a bathroom is influenced by a wide range of factors which makes it almost impossible to provide a single, accurate answer to the question. These factors include the size of your bathroom, the materials to be used, the professional tiling company hired and many more.

To calculate the cost of your bathroom tiling, you’ll need to determine the size of the area to be tiled. Simply work out the number of tiles you’ll need by multiplying the width and height and include about 10 percent to cover for possible errors. Generally, tiles can cost from £5 to £20 and more depending on your choice of design. Other materials you’ll have to purchase include tile adhesive, grout and silicone. If you don’t have the necessary tools make sure to get a tile cutter, measuring tape as well as a mixing bucket.

If you want to hire a professional for your bathroom tiling project, you should also consider any work that’ll need to be done before fitting the tiles such as the removal of the old tiles. This can have a great impact on the labour cost, so if you’re intending to save some money you can start by removing the old tiles yourself. Overall, depending on your location and the tiler’s experience can expect to incur about £20 to £40 per square metre. However, some tradesmen can charge a daily rate of about £150 to £200.

Can I fit a bathroom myself?

Are you thinking about installing a new bathroom in your home? One thing that commonly crosses most homeowner’s mind is whether a task can be done by themselves without having to call on a professional for help and in turn, save them some money. So if you’re also thinking along this route, then you’re not alone!

Asides the kitchen, no other home project is probably more involved when talking about the systems as well as skills required. At times, it can be so complicated most expert DIYers will take a deep breathe before carrying out a remodelling job for a bathroom. Basically, bathroom installation will include electrical works, plumbing works as well as tile works which all requires a highly skilled tradesman. It’s the type of work where every square foot counts as it’s a dense, tight work. Apart from that, there are usually some frequent surprises here and there such as identifying rotting joists as well as sub floor underneath a leaking shower or terribly rusted cast iron plumbing stacks. And to round it all up, you’ll also have to deal with the time pressure that comes with a bathroom remodelling project as the room is a highly essential space within the home. As a DIYer you’ll be under immense pressure to get it all over with as soon as possible for continued usage.

The solution to all the problems is simply to call in a professional who can help you manage the project from start to finish. The advantage of this is that you’ll get a good job done and probably in a quicker time than you would have. However, the main reason why most homeowners might not want to hire a pro to handle their bathroom remodelling job is because of money. Ultimately, if you feel confident enough you can go ahead and do the task yourself. If not, then calling in a reliable professional would be your best bet.
