Treharris
Treharris is a small town as well as community (and selecting ward) in the Taff Bargoed Valley in the south of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, South Wales. It lies about 0.6 miles (1.0 kilometres) west of Trelewis, from which it is separated by the Taff Bargoed river, and also 0.9 miles (1.4 km) from Nelson in Caerphilly county district and also has a population of 6,252, raising to 6,356 at the 2011 Census. As an area, Treharris consists of the towns of Quakers Yard as well as Edwardsville. Due to pitch and also narrowness of both the Taff and Taff Bargoed valleys at Treharris a number of significant bridges as well as viaducts have been constructed in the area. Throughout the early 21st century, like many ex-mining villages in the location, Treharris went through substantial regeneration to the town/village centre. A lot of, if not all of the land where Deep Navigation was positioned has been landscaped and is now part of the brand-new Parc Taff Bargoed, where a lot of the local football and also rugby teams train as well as play.
