Lanark
Lanark is a small town in the central belt of Scotland. The name is thought to come from the Cumbric Lanerc suggesting "clear area, glade". Lanark is traditionally the county town of Lanarkshire, though there are several bigger towns in the region. Lanark train station as well as train station have frequent services to Glasgow. There is little market in Lanark and also some citizens commute to work in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Its shops serve the local agricultural community and surrounding towns. There is a large modern animals public auction market on the outskirts of the town. An irreversible military visibility was developed in the community with the conclusion of Winston Barracks in the 1930s.
