Fleetwood
Fleetwood serves as a town inside the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, lying on the northwest part of the Fylde. It possessed a population of 26,840 people for the 2001 Census. It forms a part of the Greater Blackpool conurbation. The town was the first planned community of the period. For almost all of the last century, Fleetwood was a well known deep-sea fishing port, however, since the 1970s, the fishing sector has diminished precipitously and the town has been through economic difficulties. Fleetwood is also a beachfront resort, being a peaceful contrast to close by Blackpool.
