Rochester
Rochester is a town and past city within the unitary authority of Medway in South East England. It is at the lowest bridging point of the River Medway about 30 miles (48 km) from London. The town was for quite some time the favourite of Charles Dickens, who was living close by at Gads Hill Place, Higham, and who structured lots of his novels in the region.
