Cardigan
Cardigan is a town as well as community in the region of Ceredigion in Wales. The community lies on a tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion, formerly Cardiganshire, satisfies Pembrokeshire. Cardigan was the county town of the historical county and is the second-largest town in Ceredigion. The largest town, Aberystwyth, is one of both administrative centres; the other being Aberaeron. The negotiation at Cardigan was established around the Norman castle built in the late 11th or very early 12th century. The castle was the location of the very first National Eisteddfod in 1176.
