General construction work should be restricted to the following hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. Saturdays 8am to 1pm. Most councils advice that noisy work is prohibited on Sundays and bank holidays but you should check with your local council to confirm this.
Lifton
Lifton is a village and civil parish in Devon, South West England near the convergence of the rivers Wolf as well as Lyd, 1 1/4 miles southern of the A30 trunk roadway and extremely near the boundary between Devon and Cornwall. The village becomes part of the selecting ward of Thrushel. The population of the surrounding Thrushel ward (that includes the town of Thrushelton to the east of Lifton) at the 2011 census was 1680. The village was bypassed by the A30 in 1993, as well as today, unusually for such a tiny area, Lifton is a post town as well as has several young people football groups. It also has the 1st Lifton Sea Scouts.
