Your LPG storage tank will need to go outside your property, possibly underground if you have limited space. There are planning rules that restrict where you can put your tank, especially if your property is listed or on designated land. Take a look at our planning permission article to find out more.
Darvel
Darvel or Dervel (population 3,361) is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It goes to the eastern end of the Irvine Valley as well as is in some cases referred to as "The Lang Toon" (English: the Long Town). The town's Latin adage, Non sibi sed cunctis, indicates "Except ourselves, but for others". Darvel is positioned on the A71 roadway that ranges from Irvine on the west shore to Edinburgh on the east. The community is 9 miles (14 km) east of Kilmarnock and is the most easterly of the Valley Towns, the others being Galston and also Newmilns. The community was likewise when linked with Stonehouse (through Strathaven) by the Caledonian Railway. However, the line was nearby the LMS before the Second World War. The former Glasgow and also South Western Train branch line to Kilmarnock made it through for a lot longer and also was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching Axe. Much of the route of both the old train lines is still out there, although the rails have long since gone and many road bridges have actually been eliminated. There was a huge viaduct to the eastern of the town, in the lea of Loudoun Hill, which brought the train line over the valley. This was however, destroyed in 1986, and also just the piers stay. The River Irvine moves via the town as well as when powered local mills.
