Smoke Alarm in Tregaron

Tregaron

Tregaron is an ancient market town in Ceredigion, Wales, astride the River Brenig, a tributary of the River Teifi. Tregaron is 11 miles (18 kilometres) northeast of Lampeter. According to the 2011 Census, the population of the ward of Tregaron was 1,213 as well as 67% of the population could speak Welsh. Tregaron is an area. The church is dedicated to St Caron. He was a guy of lowly beginnings but "his courage and charitable deportment obtained him the sovereignty in Wales: he made war against the Romans, ruled seven years and also was buried in Tregarron".: He is almost certainly the very same individual as Carausius that took power in Britain in 286 as well as was executed in 293 by Allectus (also see Carausian Revolt). An early Christian rock piece birthing the name Carausius and the Chi Rho icon is maintained in Penmachno. The church has a tower and bases on a rough prominence. It contains a basic nave and chancel. Various other notable structures in the community consist of the 13th-century Talbot Hotel, which apparently has actually an elephant hidden in its premises. The remote church Soar y mynydd is close to Tregaron. In March, 1977, a cottage near Tregaron was one target of an Operation Julie cops raid in which huge amounts of the medication LSD were confiscated. Neighboring Cors Caron (Tregaron Bog), is known for its adders, buzzards, red kites, and polecats. The River Brenig is noted for its brown trout as well as eels. The river has been the subject of dredging as well as flood-protection functions to offer 1-in-100-year flooding security to the community as well as improve the environment for wildlife along a stretch of river.
