Canterbury
Canterbury is one of the most well-known cities in the country, having a solid link to the Christian faith and is also the Archbishop of Canterbury's household as well. Other notorious names include Thomas Beckett and Christopher Marlowe. Canterbury had been highly targeted by German bombers throughout World War Two, so provides a selection of both pre and post-war houses, although the cobbled streets and small back alleys remain from centuries ago. Canterbury is the single city within Kent and possesses a very modest population of around 60,000.
