Newbiggin-by-the-sea

Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a village and civil parish in Northumberland, England, on the North Sea shore. As soon as an essential port for delivery grain and also a coal mining town, it is still a small angling port making use of standard coble watercrafts. The colliery enclosed 1967, however at its peak in 1940 1,400 males were employed there. The former Newbiggin Colliery Band is currently the Jayess Newbiggin Brass Band, named for its president as well as former member, cornet tale James Guard. To date, there are 72 active companies based in Newbiggin.
