Frodsham

Frodsham is a market town, civil parish as well as electoral ward in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and also Chester and also the ceremonial area of Cheshire, England. Its population was 8,982 in 2001, increasing to 9,077 at the 2011 Census. It is roughly 3 miles (5 kilometres) south of Runcorn, 16 miles (26 kilometres) south of Liverpool, and also 28 miles (45 km) southwest of Manchester. The River Weaver runs to its northeast as well as on the west it ignores the estuary of the River Mersey. The A56 roadway and also the Chester-- Manchester railway line go through the town, and the M56 motorway passes to the northwest. In medieval times Frodsham was an essential district and port coming from the Earls of Chester. Its parish church, St. Laurence's, still shows proof of a structure existing in the 12th century in its nave and is referenced in Domesday Book. A market is held each Thursday, and Frodsham's feasibility as a trading centre was stressed by the existence of the "big five" removing financial institutions and several building societies, though the branches of HSBC and NatWest have lately closed. Advancement in the community's shops and properties with alcohol permits is evident through the current (post-2002) opening or modernisation of contemporary-style bar/restaurants, take-away food stores as well as pubs, and also in the proceeded existence of small, specialised, companies operating from town-centre shops.

FAQs

Do biomass boilers need lots of maintenance?

Biomass boilers do require some maintenance. Many manufacturers recommend servicing twice a year, although this is often included in the installation cost. Many systems have automatic fuel loading that removes the need to manually load fuel. You will need to remove the ash from the boiler, but this is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner.

Can I use a biomass boiler with other forms of heating?

Biomass boilers can be designed to work with other kinds of heating. The most common of these is solar thermal. This is a popular renewable energy pairing. Solar thermal heating will meet your hot water needs during the summer while a biomass boiler can operate as a backup during the winter when solar thermal panels do not perform as well.

Is a biomass boiler compatible with my existing central heating system?

Biomass boilers will work with existing central heating systems, presuming this is not decades old, whether they use radiators or under floor heating. A surveyor will check the existing system you have in place before quoting for or recommending a biomass boiler to you.

Do biomass boilers take up lots of space?

Many domestic biomass boilers are no bigger than a standard gas boiler. However, they do require a flue, a feeder and a space to store the fuel. These can be designed to suit many different properties and will fit in lots of homes or a garage or outbuilding.
