Market Harborough

Market Harborough is a market town within the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It is the administrative headquarters of Harborough District Council, and has a population of 22911 inhabitants. Formerly at a crossroads for both road and rail, the A6 now circumvents the town to the east, and the A14, which contains east-west traffic, is 6 miles to the south. The town is set on land that generally formed Rockingham Forest, a royal hunting forest used by medieval monarchs after William I. There are 2 towns within the limits of Market Harborough. Great Bowden can be discovered a mile from the town centre, and Little Bowden is under half a mile from the town centre. The 3 centres have predominately merged because of ribbon development and infill. Looming over the town centre is the steeple of St. Dionysius Parish Church, which rises straight from the street as there is no church backyard surrounding the building. The Old Grammar School, a rather modest lumber structure going back to 1614, has transformed into a symbol of the town. The town square is primarily pedestrianised and surrounded by different buildings, although the majority of buildings positioned in the High Street are Georgian structures that stay mainly undamaged. Market Harborough underwent substantial transformation in the latter half of the 20th century. This includes the establishment of the headquarters for Golden Wonder crisp producers, and the demolition of the old Symington factory to the building of Eden Court shops and flats. In 1968, the centre of Market Harborough was labelled as a conservation area. In 2007, its popular park, Welland Park, was awarded Green Flag Award Status, acknowledging quality and high ecological standards. For all of your home upgrades, make certain to make use of respected professionals in Market Harborough to make certain of quality.

FAQs

Is a biomass boiler compatible with my existing central heating system?

Biomass boilers will work with existing central heating systems, presuming this is not decades old, whether they use radiators or under floor heating. A surveyor will check the existing system you have in place before quoting for or recommending a biomass boiler to you.

Can I use a biomass boiler with other forms of heating?

Biomass boilers can be designed to work with other kinds of heating. The most common of these is solar thermal. This is a popular renewable energy pairing. Solar thermal heating will meet your hot water needs during the summer while a biomass boiler can operate as a backup during the winter when solar thermal panels do not perform as well.

Do biomass boilers take up lots of space?

Many domestic biomass boilers are no bigger than a standard gas boiler. However, they do require a flue, a feeder and a space to store the fuel. These can be designed to suit many different properties and will fit in lots of homes or a garage or outbuilding.

Do biomass boilers need lots of maintenance?

Biomass boilers do require some maintenance. Many manufacturers recommend servicing twice a year, although this is often included in the installation cost. Many systems have automatic fuel loading that removes the need to manually load fuel. You will need to remove the ash from the boiler, but this is as easy as emptying a vacuum cleaner.
