Looe

Looe is a tiny coastal community, fishing port as well as civil parish in south-east Cornwall, England, with a population of 5,280 at the 2011 census. Looe is 20 miles (32 km) west of Plymouth and 7 miles (11 km) south of Liskeard, divided in two by the River Looe, East Looe as well as West Looe being linked by a bridge. Looe created as two separate communities each with MPs as well as its very own mayor. The town centres around a small harbour and also along the steep-sided valley of the River Looe which moves in between East as well as West Looe to the sea close to a sandy beach. Offshore to the west, opposite the stonier Hannafore Beach, exists Looe Island. Looe remains an angling town, and preserved several fish suppliers operating from the East Looe quayside up until the introduction of EU laws. With its fleet of tiny angling watercrafts returning their catches to port daily, Looe has a credibility for obtaining excellent fresh fish. The town is likewise a centre for shark angling, and also is residence to the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain. However, Looe's primary company today is tourism, with much of the community given over to resorts, guest houses as well as holiday houses, together with a multitude of clubs, restaurants and also coastline devices, gelato and Cornish pasty suppliers. Inland from Looe lie numerous outdoor camping and caravan websites, as well as the renowned Woolly Monkey Sanctuary. Other neighborhood attractions include the coastlines, sailing, angling and also diving, as well as spectacular coastal walks (particularly using Talland to Polperro). South East Cornwall flaunts numerous stately homes, including Antony Residence, Cotehele, Mount Edgcumbe and also Lanhydrock House, in addition to the Eden Project near St Austell which vacationers can access by road.
