Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland is known as a marketplace town and also civil parish in County Durham in north east England. Through the Industrial Revolution, the town grew quickly as coal mining took hold as an essential industry. The subsequent decline of the coal mining business in the late 20th century has long been held responsible for a drop in the town's fortunes in various other sectors.
