Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland is a marketplace town in addition to civil parish within County Durham in north east England. During the Industrial Revolution, the town grew quickly because coal mining took hold as a possible significant sector. The subsequent decrease of the coal mining industry in the late twentieth century continues to be held responsible for a drop in the town's fortunes in some other areas.
