Aberdare
Aberdare is a large town in the Cynon Valley area of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. The population was 31,705 at the 2001 census, which makes Aberdare the 13th most populous town in Wales. It is 20 miles north-west of Cardiff and 22 miles north-east of Swansea.
Aberdare grew into an active industrial town in the 19th century, when it became a centre of iron and tin production. Later there were a lot of coal mines in the town which increased its population as people moved there to work. Now that the coal mines have shut, the landscape has remains of its past but nature has renewed it to its former beauty.
The town goes back far into history, with ancient burial sites and standing stones still visible today. There is a lot of Victorian architecture still standing in Aberdare that links with its colourful past.
Aberdare is a bustling town with plenty of shops and restaurants. It is only a 40 minute train journey from Cardiff, so it's easy to revel in the countryside around Aberdale and then jump on the train to take advantage of what the city has to offer.
If your house in Aberdale needs a new boiler, it's important that you compare and contrast quotes from a minimum of three respected firms.
