You can find out roughly how old your wiring is by simply looking at it. If the wiring around your fuse box is covered in old-fashioned casing, or is damaged or fraid, it may be over 25 years old and need replacing. This is more common in older properties or houses that have been empty for long periods of time.
Carrbridge
Carrbridge is a town in Badenoch and Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands. It lies off the A9 on the A938, west of Skye of Curr, southeast of Tomatin, near Bogroy. It has the earliest rock bridge in the Highlands and the close-by old pine woodland consists of the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. Carrbridge is about 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Aviemore and also creates a portal to the Cairngorms National Forest. It was an early centre for snowboarding in Scotland. In the 2001 census the town had a population of 708 people, with the bulk employed in tourism. Till the 1980s bypass was created, the A9 ran right through the village. Carrbridge is offered by Carrbridge train station on the Highland Main Line. Local argument still rages concerning the name Carrbridge itself, with some choosing to see it hyphenated to Carr-bridge. Words "Carr" has nothing to do with motorised transportation but is stemmed from the Old Norse word for boggy location.
