Fireplace Installation in Dinas Powys

Dinas Powys

Dinas Powys is a big town and also an area in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales which takes its name from the ancient Welsh for fortress, (Dinas) and pagus,(Powys) the Latin word for pagan. The actual definition, for that reason, being, "Pagan Stronghold", referring to Dinas Powys hillfort that dates from the Iron Age. The village is 5.6 miles (9.0 kilometres) south-west of the centre of Cardiff as well as comfortably positioned on the A4055 Cardiff to Barry highway. It is generally considered a pleasant dorm town for Cardiff's commerce and market travelers considering that the city has expanded with extensive development around the Cardiff Bay area. Regardless of the enhancement of numerous housing developments over the past fifty years, the old village centre of Dinas Powys still has a mainly untainted and also virtually rural feeling, maintaining a large town usual as well as a typical town centre complete with a post office as well as a variety of tiny independent stores, public houses, restaurants and area centers. In addition there are shops, garages, little supermarkets, Pharmacy and a Vets on the main Cardiff Road as well as a choice of shops on the Murch estate including a post office. The Health and wellness Centre containing the physicians and Murch drug store moved in April 2017 to the brand-new Clinical centre on top of Murch Road, on the site of the old St Cyres, Dinas Powys website. According to current electoral rolls the population is in the region of 8,800. This establishes the town as the 5th largest settlement in the Vale of Glamorgan and also larger than many legal communities in the UK.
