West Byfleet
West Byfleet is a village in Surrey which grew up around its reasonably small quit on the London & South Western Railway: the station, originally Byfleet and also Woodham, opened up in 1887. More than 1 mile (1.6 kilometres) from the medieval town of Byfleet, the first focus of a new growth soon established its own economy apart from that of a dependent London traveler village and spread in the majority of directions to its borders including to the border of the old negotiation, separated by the shielded London Orbital motorway today. The starting point of prayer was committed in 1912, the church of West Byfleet connected with it was established in 1917. The town is bounded to the north by the Basingstoke Canal and to the eastern by the M25 and also the Wey Navigation Canal. Developing part of the contiguous development centred on London and also its 'financier belt' just outside the M25 motorway, it is 8 miles from London Heathrow and equidistant in between the business parks of Woking as well as Brooklands. In local government it creates a ward on the same basis as its parish in the Borough of Woking.
