An engineered wooden door is a door made out of multiple pieces of wood. This is opposed to solid wooden doors that are made out of one piece of wood.Engineered wooden doors are usually covered by veneer to make them look like they are made from one piece of wood. They tend to be sturdier and straighter than solid doors.
Balerno
Balerno is a suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland situated 8 miles (13 kilometres) south-west of the city centre, next to Currie and then Juniper Green. Administratively, Balerno falls within the territory of the City of Edinburgh Council. Its name derives from the Scottish Gaelic Baile Àirneach, implying "townland/town of the hawthorns". The earliest created documents of Balhernoch or Balernach are discovered in the late 13th century. The 18th Century brought substantial advancement to the location, with lots of brand-new flax, snuff and also paper mills springing up around the Water of Leith and also its tributary, the Bavelaw Burn (proof of flax manufacturing can be seen in Harlaw Woods). The largest of these mills, Balerno Bank Paper Mill situated near the centre of the old village closed in the early 1980s. After the First World War residence building began in earnest in the area and ever since residential stress have almost overwhelmed business and industrial ones. There was a brief loophole train running over what is currently the Water of Leith Walkway.
